Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has won Arsenal’s Player of the Season with the striker picking up an overwhelming 74 per cent of the votes cast by fans.

Aubameyang was instrumental as Mikel Arteta won his first trophy as Arsenal manager. The striker scored a brace against Manchester City in the semi-final before his two strikes against Chelsea ensured the Gunners won the competition for the 14th time.

The 31-year-old was also one goal away from securing the Premier League Golden Boot for a successive year.

His current deal is set to run out in 2021 and initial talks over an extension seemed to have stalled with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan all linked with making a move.
