Premier League side Chelsea are now reportedly turning their attention to the signing of Atletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez in a deal that will cost the Blues £60 million.
Chelsea were initially linked with West Ham United star Declan Rice, but the club have refused to do any business with the Stamford Bridge landlords.
Chelsea have already landed striker Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech, while play-maker Kai Havertz is edging closer to joining too.

Gimenez could add much needed quality to the team defensively with Frank Lampard having focused on attacking reinforcement so far.
After escaping relegation on the last day at the just concluded Premier League season, West Ham United want to keep all their stars for next term.
Chelsea have made Atletico Madrid centre-back Jose Gimenez their number one defender target this summer, after being priced out of a deal for Declan Rice.

And since they are not willing to sell, Chelsea are ready to go for Jose Gimenez who plays as a central defender.
According to the report on Daily Star UK, Lampard wants an experienced central defender at Chelsea who will help the Blues in their Champions League campaign next season.
The Blues failed to win any title at the 2019/20 Premier League season and Lampard wants to bolster his squad so as to fight well next term.
