But according to the report on UK Sun, Barcelona are not ready to lose their goalkeeper and they are ready to tie him down for a long term contract.
The report added that the Stamford Bridge chiefs have submitted an offer to Barcelona for them to sign Stegen this summer as replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Arrizabalaga has not been impressive since he joined Chelsea in which there have been calls for Frank Lampard to find another stopper.
Kepa was benched in many games last season by Frank Lampard who also decided to use Willy Caballero in the FA Cup final against Arsenal.
Stegen who has won four La Liga titles with Barcelona is also wanted by Bayern Munich, but the goalkeeper wants to remain at Barcelona.
